Wire weaving pendant step by step tutorial for beginners. How to make a pendant from wire and stone. Handmade Wire jewelry.

Tools and materials.

Today we will make a pendant from copper wire and agate stone. We use copper wire with a thickness of 1 mm and 0,4 mm. Sections of 1 mm thick wire about 50 cm each. Agate stone with a hole.
I like to make jewelry from natural wire. I often use copper wire to create my jewelry. I patinate the copper wire and then polish it.

We will not need a lot of tools. A small set of pliers will suffice. I recommend buying pliers with silicone tips to work with wire.

Pliers with silicone tips are useful for weaving wire.
If you, like me, will be patinating and polishing the wire you will need additional tools.
Wire weaving pendant step by step tutorial for beginners

Start weaving five thick wires together using any weaving method. Bend one wire as shown in the photo and slip it through the hole in the stone.

Next, weave the wire together and curl it around the stone.



Weave six wires together.

Continue wrapping the wire and bending it as I show in the photo.






The photo below is the back side of the pendant.

Cut the wire and bend the ends of the wire. Using a thin wire, sew the braid to the bottom wire.

The photo below is the front side of the pendant.

You need to make a loop for the chain. Bend the wire as shown in the photo below.

On the back side of the pendant, bend all the ends of the wires and sew them to the bottom thick wire.


Then I patinated the copper wire in a special solution. Then I polished it with felt tips with polishing paste.

Pendant from copper wire and agate is ready! It remains to add a chain or leather cord to the jewelry.
